Every plan is a tiny prayer to Father Time.

It’s time to admit that hospitals aren’t always magical places that can patch a person up with just enough life to plug along a little longer.

Sooner or later, we all come to this.

‘Cause there’s no comfort in the waiting room
Just nervous pacers bracing for bad news
And then the nurse comes ’round and everyone will lift their heads
But I’m thinking of what Sarah said —
‘Love is watching someone die’
